November 30th, 2010

Somehow I didn't get to my camera in time for the lovely start of this sunset; then I somehow quit before the whole sky lit up rose-red. But I did get the middle part....

On our way to see the kids, we stopped at a fast-food place in time to see a city sunset. It added the perfect touch to our little dinner!

November 28th, 2010

While camping at Valley of the Rogue State Park this weekend, we were impressed by this sunset! So different than being on the coast...

We are not going to be able to post anything this evening, so I'm pre-posting this recent sunset; I love being able to use some of these extra views!

November 26th, 2010

It wouldn't be possible for me to forget the sunset completely anymore. I may get engrossed in something and forget to check, but then I will think about it, regretfully. No doubt I'll be upset with myself when I hear what I missed!

November 25th, 2010

I have a miserable cold, but I set the alarm to wake me up at 4. And I'm glad I did....

November 24th, 2010

Turning pink was a slow process for tonight's sunset, so Tony and I had time to talk in the car (with the heater full blast!) while we waited.

November 23rd, 2010

Today we had snow at sea level, which is very unusual. Later, in the late afternoon, Tony had a chance to see a great sunset from up on a mountain. I, on the other hand, had to view it through heavy clouds. Not that it wasn't also lovely!

November 22nd, 2010

It was pretty exciting to witness a sunset this beautiful; even though I try to be there every night, I never get tired of seeing what the next one looks like.....

November 21st, 2010

This sunset was completely unexpected; it had rained all day! Isn't it worth it to at least make an effort to check it out?

November 19th, 2010

Today it rained, it hailed, it was blue skies. The bottom picture is at noon, a storm isolated on the horizon. And to top it off, another lovely sunset!

November 18th, 2010

The storm is supposed to continue through the weekend; I don't expect to see any sunsets more vivid than this. Which is OK with me.

Can anything come close to this rose-colored reflection under this rose-colored Sunset?

Our sunset took it's time tonight, one stunning feature after another. One of the boat-owners finally told me "It's over!" But he admitted there was still a lot going on, and commented on how beautiful it was.

Pat and I were happy to watch this sunset from Kissing Rock. Just one more reason for living on the Oregon Coast......a perfect way for friends to end the day!

November 13th, 2010

Huge banks of fog obliterated our sunset this evening; this was taken on another foggy night, but in this case it only enhanced the view...

November 12th, 2010

Tonight was actually a more splendid sunset than I anticipated, judging the clouds this afternoon. This picture was a delight to photograph, along with plenty of others.

November 11th, 2010

Taking the time to admire this end-of-the-day beauty is a wonderful routine that I hope to continue forever....

Gold and purple blend into an inviting sunset, washing away any remnants of today's anxieties.

November 9th, 2010

It was a miserably rainy day, but a few minutes before sunset the sky gave way to a tiny bit of blue and pink, enough to make a soft backlight behind Port of Gold Beach.

November 8th, 2010

I was so upset with myself last night; after all those fogged in nights, there was a beautiful sunset (I'm told) which I missed because of not being adjusted to the the time change. But today I paid attention!

November 5th, 2010

This sunset threw it's glowing beauty into the clouds, across the harbor, and straight to to our appreciative hearts.

November 4th, 2010

Yes, it is bad fog again! So Tony drove me up a logging road to get above it. That's the fog, down on the bottom of the picture. It was fun to see the sunset; sometimes it's easy to forget it's really there...

November 3rd, 2010

The color in this Hunter Creek scene taken last month is in total contrast to the heavy white fog blocking our sunset tonight!

The ocean mist softens a setting sun, while curling boughs of spruce encircle it.
